What this is
This is every NYC Restaurant Week venue on one filterable map, for the Jul 27 to Sep 6, 2026 season. There are 648 restaurants across the $30, $45, and $60 prix-fixe tiers. Beyond the usual borough, cuisine, and price filters, you can search by dish and by chef name, which is not something the official listing supports.
Where the data comes from
Nothing here is invented. Each field is sourced from a different place, and each is refreshed nightly at 05:00 Eastern from the upstream NYC Tourism listing:
- Restaurant listings from NYC Tourism, the official Restaurant Week source.
- Health grades from NYC DOHMH inspection records.
- Ratings and review counts from Google Places.
- Nearest subway entrance from MTA subway entrance data.
- Outdoor dining status from NYC Open Data's outdoor dining licence dataset.
- Dish names and menu structure parsed from each venue's own published PDF menu.
The numbers
- 648 restaurants, at $30, $45, or $60 prix-fixe.
- 644 are geocoded and appear as map pins. The other 4 are not, because their listing pages return a 404 or 500 upstream.
- 559 have a matched DOHMH health inspection record: 389 grade A, 43 grade B, 29 grade C, and the rest not yet graded. 89 have no confident match, and their cards say so rather than guessing.
- 642 carry a Google rating, representing over a million reviews in aggregate.
- 644 have a nearest-subway-entrance calculation, with a median distance of 176 metres.
- 552 hold an NYC outdoor dining licence.
- 403 have parsed menu structure and 407 have extracted dish names, which is what makes dish search work.
- 385 can be booked through OpenTable. The other 263 have no online booking and link out to the restaurant's own site instead.
Why coverage is partial, on purpose
Matching a restaurant's marketing name to its legal DBA in city inspection records is genuinely hard. Names get shortened, hyphenated, or rebranded between what a restaurant calls itself on a menu and what it filed with the city. When that match is not confident, attaching the wrong restaurant's health grade would be worse than showing none, so those 89 cards say plainly that no record was matched instead of guessing. The same caution applies to geocoding: 4 listings could not be resolved because their own pages on the upstream site return errors, so they are left off the map rather than placed somewhere wrong.
How booking works
This site holds no reservations of its own. When a restaurant is bookable, tapping the reserve button hands you off to OpenTable with your date, party size, and time already filled in, so you land on a ready-to-confirm page instead of an empty search form. There is no public reservation API this site could plug into directly, so this handoff is the design, not a limitation we failed to solve. Restaurants without online booking link to their own website so you can call or book directly.
